Janet trained at Mountview. Classically trained in piano and fiddle, Janet began her career singing in London Gentlemen’s Clubs which led to her working in various bands; recording and touring internationally. She still occasionally sings in a 12-piece soul band. Janet began her theatre work through Theatre in Education tours.
Her theatre credits include: Sweeney Todd; West Side Story, Façade; (Pimlico Opera HMP Wormwood Scrubs and Wandsworth) Cheryomushki (Pimlico Opera, Lyric Hammersmith). For many years Janet was a comedienne in double act The Totally Naff Tarts both writing and performing in London and at festivals such as Edinburgh Fringe, for which she was mentioned in The Guardian’s Critic’s Choice and the Daily Express Best New Names. Janet has performed extensively in prisons and is currently writing a book on her experiences. In addition to performing Janet has delivered workshops and training, using drama techniques, to the corporate sector in writing and delivery; and forum theatre in the UK, USA and India.

Much of Janet’s time in the past ten years has been spent actively restoring an Italian farmhouse with her husband.
