Comprising of early findings from performances on the Globe stage, interviews with Globe actors, papers from recent conferences and transcripts of lectures, these unique research documents explore both the particulars of performance on the Globe stage, and wider themes and current issues in the fields of Shakespearean, early modern and theatre studies.
Conference and lecture papers: Our extensive research seminar and conference programme provides a forum for theatre historians, scholars, postgraduates and theatre artists to share research and foster collaboration. Each year we run the Shakespeare Globe Theatre History Seminar, the Shakespeare and Performance Seminar, the Globe Postgraduate Research Seminar, and an additional number of conferences that will focus on a particular theme.
Research Bulletins: These exclusive documents provide an in-depth account into early productions at Shakespeare's Globe, particularly those which made use of original practices. Featuring production notes and interviews with actors and creatives, these bulletins explore the rehearsal process from the first day through to the technical rehearsals and preview performances at the start of the run.
